Apply Klasse Sealant Glaze with bonnet?
The Autopia site recommends applying Klasse Sealant Glaze with the Porter Cable 7424 using a microfiber bonnet.
I haven't used my PC on my car yet, but I did detail 2 painted metal folding chairs tonight (they look fantastic, of course, but I'm afraid I may find myself sliding off of them now).
I didn't want to use my Sonus pads for anything other than my car, so I just used the pad that came with the PC to apply All In One first (I draw the line at using a clay bar on my folding chairs). Then I put the bonnet over the pad to apply the SG, as Autopia suggests.
My question comes up because it seemed like most of the SG was absorbed into the bonnet. I know the layer of SG is supposed to be really thin, so I guess a bonnet that is essentially moistened with SG does the trick. Before I try it on my MINI, I thought I'd get your feedback. What do you all do?
(My MINI plan is to use the finest finish pad to apply AIO, then use the microfiber bonnet to apply the SG, buffing with wonder buffing towels in between, of course.)
Thank you all.
