Heinzelmannchen Brewery Run Comments

I want to take this time to thank everyone who attended the run and I do hope everyone had a great time. As I think about doing this in 2009 I would love some comments or suggestions for improvement. Either post them or PM me. I was talking with Dieter when I picked up my growlers and he has some great ideas that until I can work out details (I do have a year) I'd prefer to keep under my hat. Wait... I knew I forgot something, my hat! No wonder my nose is so sunburned!.

Hopefully next time I won't get my drive times mixed up and miss the run!!!

I got down to the old registration building and was very confused by the lack of MINIs.

I'm sitting here drinking the last of my beer as I read. Time to go back.

Hmm.... We were late and didn't leave until close to 10:00, sorry we missed you. My wife (the concrete sequential) thought that next year it would help if all runs started at the same time. For example: Full day drives start at 10:00 A.M. and afternoon runs start at 1:00 P.M, that way no one has to worry about when they need to be where.

QueenB- thanks for the help... Sue & I haven't even had a chance to open our growlers yet... maybe tomorrow.

The only thing I would change is adding a stop in Franklin so we can race "the dood" for pinks

Norma and I had a great time - thanks for doing the run, we had never been to Silva before and it was nice and 'little dragon' was great.

I would recommend a food and beer pairing at the meal portion.
We drank down the growler before we left on Saturday night with new friends we met on the run....

Thanks again and put us down for next year.

I must have just missed you. I even thought about trying to catch up until I remembered that I had no idea how to find you guys!

What a blast! The drive to the brewery was beautiful and the roads were great. Too bad about Oldsmobile minivan and dump truck along the way. I loved that you had printed directions and alternate routes in the same packet. Brilliant! Nick and Nate's was an awesome hometown restaurant. Great beer and great people! What could be better?

Thanks for organizing the run.

Same here, this was a great run, I liked the planning and flexibility with taking alternate routes back depending on each person's schedule. I saw several people myself included buying a few things so hopefully Dieter made some money- very tough for a small business like his to survive. The tasting was a great start, I will definitely do this again next year. I think your biggest problem is that you do need to limit to roughly 15 cars to keep the group size manageable, and as word gets out, you're going to get a lot more interest. Maybe brewery runs on multiple days????
