So true... he and I traded a lot of emails in the weeks leading up to MOTD, and I don't think I've EVER seen anyone SOOOOOO cranked up about anything.... he was seriously on a mission - with the car show prep, the pinewood car, everything..... seriously, good for him - great guy, glad he had fun and good luck.

Actually, in my first and only Pinewood Derby race as a child one of my wheels fell off and it left me scarred for life.

My first car was a rusty, 1966 Plymouth Valiant station wagon with no air conditioning and I grew up in Florida. It did have an oogah horn though (the tradition continues).

I have been a pro photographer for more than 25 years and have given away my fare share of free photos during that time.

I'm very grateful for my good fortune at MOTD this year but in a way, I see it as long overdue redemption!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone!

Yeah, I was pretty focused and you were a great help. In many ways you and the Blimey Mobile were an inspiration for a lot of things I did to the Cooper. So thanks for that and for your kind words. It was fun but I ended up not doing much driving. Between the car show an the patch and bead sales I was pretty busy. The one day I picked to do some driving it rained (Saturday), so that was a bummer. I'll get it out of my system at MSSD in October!

I just wanted to let you all know that we did not enjoy the rain storm while taking your group panorama picture this year, but wanted to let you know that the images are beautiful in spite of the rain. In fact, since the camera rotates around while the photo is made, you can't see any rain in either of the pictures even though we were all getting drenched!
I have been working in France since the shoot and have just gotten back to the lab today. Those of you that ordered panoramas will have them coming to you by the end of this week. We were printing them all today. If you haven't ordered your panorama, now would be a good time to do so.
The winner of the 8 foot Mural Print this year is Jack Rowland of Tampa, Fl. Congratulations Mr. Rowland! The 8 foot mural prints are just amazing!
Hope you like it!
Thanks to all of the hard working Row Captains parking everyone and Barry Patasher for his hard work to organize the event.

Maybe put the tent some where else other that where the "drive in" should be. How about down by the general store. Put it on the tarmac where the parking lot is located to the left of the store.

Please note that this was a thread created shortly after last years MOTD.
The tent question/answer no longer applies since there will be no main tent other than the vendor tents.
