Back when I planned the Sunrise drive around the Smoky's, I thought that only 5-6 crazy people would want to join me for a drive at 6:30am. I should have expected there to be more crazies in the bunch, knowing the MINI community, and it was the first drive to fill up to the max of 30 cars!
Unfortunately, the meeting place I chose was sized for 5-10 cars... not 30.
Please note this change:
The Sunrise Drive around the Smokys will depart from the road in front of the Fontana General Store at 6:30am on Saturday morning (time is the same, day is the same, meet up point has changed).
There won't be a ton of activity there at 6:30am, so it will be easy to find 30-some MINIs w/ their occupants milling about.
WE WILL DEPART AT 6:30AM SHARP!!! The goal is to be back to the base of Fontana Dam in time to participate in the panoramic photo shoot. It's gonna be tight, so we have to keep to the schedule. I can't promise that we will make it back in time... I can't control the weather... but I'll do all I can to make it happen.
PLEASE BE AT THE MEET UP POINT BY 6:20 for a driver's meeting and to get everyone set. Remember: Gas full... Bladders empty.
