MOTD withdrawl

Im ruined. The roads I once loved are suddenly not so curvy, my mind is distracted thinking back to all my new friends, good beer and late nights. Fall run anyone?

When I go to MME next month, I'm planning to take some other drives to the Dragon from Alcoa...not just the normal US 129 route from Maryville. Hopefully, that in itself will renew my thirst for the last 11 miles of that great road.

We can't make a fall run. Probably won't make it until next MOTD. Someone needs to make a run or two for us, please.

Another withdrawl we are having is looking out the window and seeing only MINIs parked around. I look out now and my MINI is the only one I see.

BTW, it was nice meeting you, Trinity07.

Man, I hate to make you feel bad, but I'm moving about 45 min away from the Dragon and all the other cool roads around! I'll be able to do the Dragon in my sleep before long!

I had no idea. Thankfully I dont have to travel as far as you to make a few runs. You'll have to let us know when you will be in the area again, I know there are several of us here in Atlanta who would love to meet up with you!

Don't worry---i'm a good 11+ hour ride away, and i'm playing with the idea of going in late august again---the roads here just don't cut it!!! i find myself taking the exit and on ramps of the highway like they were nothing (there is no one around when i'm headed to work at 5am)...

I'm thinking that 8 hours on the road isn't too much of a pain... maybe a late summer GTG?

Amy, groovy new sig BTW.

Are there any other plans for another Dragon meeting this summer or fall or is it only once a year?

We have a road up here, Muskoka Rd 13. We call it "the rattler", has some nice twisties, but not near what the Dragon has, and this has houses on it.

If you want to see it, mapquest directions from Port Severn, ON -- Bala, ON

Fall run eh... I may be able to do a leave thurs night arrive friday night thing.. and depart sun/mon... depends on what wknd it is planned for.

I just got back yesterday for "Father's Day" - when asked what I wanted for Father's Day my reply was "..to leave for Deals Gap @ 5am Saturday morning & not get home until late Sunday evening"! It was perfect weather. I think I'm going down again in August as well?
