Total MOTD Miles

From pulling out of the driveway to start our (extended) MOTD trip, to pulling back into the driveway this evening (representing 3 days driving to the event, 7 days there, and 2 days driving back), we put 2,940 fun-filled miles on our GP!

Great people, great event, great times.

4,470 miles and just got home tonite

after leaving with the Denver to Dragon Caravan III on Saturday, April 28th. Had to make a side trip thru Wichita but made it home just now.

Gonna need new front tyres as apparently, I scrubbed them off spinning them while coming out of 318 turns a few times....

Hmmm 1.5 days there, 3 days spent and 1.5 days back. 2834.5 miles. Turned over the 10k mark on the way back somewhere in East Texas.

Mine is just a drop in the bucket compared to some of you but in the loaner I added 594 miles, Atlanta to the Dragon and back plus its nearly through its break in! I wonder if they will see the value in that?

We didn't think to write down a beginning & ending mileage, but I just figured all our driving routes for the 12 day round trip: Dexter, MO - visit family in Cicero, IN - Fontana - Ice Cream Run to Bryson City - Fontana - Cherohala Skyway - Chattanooga(via Knoxville, a last minute decision) - Nashville - back to Dexter was 1497.1 miles(drive time: 27hrs 38min). The last minute decision to go to Chattanooga resulted in many miles doubling back, but since it was in a MINI they were worth it.

That doesn't count trips up and down the Dragon and other driving and other short side trips and errands done on the trip. Gromit didn't mind the trip(and LOVED the Dragon), but he sure seems happy to have the suitcases and other associated travel gear out of his boot.

I also forgot to jot down starting/ending odo readings, but between the rides up and back from Orlando, trips to Cades Cove and the Cherohala loop and miscellaneous trips, I put about 1600 miles on my MCS...

Turned 30k on MOTD

On the Colorado to Dragon tour with jsouz and others. My stats are:
1966 miles from Denver to MOTD, via backroads to Omaha, Kansas City, St Louis, Indianapolis, Bowling Green (KY), Marysville (TN) to Fontana. I actually turned 30,000 miles on the Dragon (first run ever). Drove 542 miles while at MOTD. Returned directly on Interstate highways for 1408 miles. Grand total: 3916 miles (including small side trips at overnight towns, getting a little lost now and then, etc). When I returned home, my service interval mileage was -325 (325 miles overdue for the 30,000 mile checkup!).

I was hoping to meet you, but I guess I wasn't in the right place at the right time. My wife told me she met you at the Panoramic Photo, though. We'll be looking next year(or maybe we can get together before then).
