Just got back home, really tired, but Robin and I had a blast. Since this was the first major dinner I've had a chance to be involved in, I'd like to just give some thanks to some folks (and I hope you all had a good time attending)
First gotta thank BillTheCat, my right hand man in pulling this thing off.
All the SSM folks that volunteered to man the registration and ticket sales.
Graham County for their financial support
All the vendors that purchased ads on our placemats
All the vendors that donated the great raffle prizes
My wife for putting up with a dining room of swag and paperwork for 3 months.
Everyone that attended and made it the fastest sellout of all time!
The great folks at Fontana for all their help
And of course Johnna and John for their outstanding job of decorating!!!
Thank you Barry, Bill & the SSM crew. The Welcome Dinner was exactly what we were looking for that night. The food was delicious. The company was excellent. And it felt like a great way to get MOTD started.
We appreciate all your hard work!

Props to Barry and his wife for this great dinner!!! Having had the "privilege" of being part of a Welcome Dinner host before I have to say this one was done close to perfect! Great job Barry, great to finally meet you and your wife.
With the exception of the mashed potato incident (Yes, I'm over it now ) the Welcome Dinner was great, thanks to all who helped put it together
(Now the Banquet was a slightly different story, some lady came up and snatched the last piece of Chocolate cake right in front the Frau I guess that's what she gets for trying to be polite and not shove her way through )

THANK YOU! What a terrific dinner! The food, the room the atmosphere, the flow of the evening, the prizes - the list goes on and on! The Welcome dinner was exceptional. Thank you for such a wonderful kick off to the Dragon! B R A V O !!!
Despite stressing out over the whole public speaking thing, I had a great time.
I want to apologize to anyone who was really looking forward to the DJ for Dinner & the Mixer. He hasn't responded to any PM's on the Sunshine MINIs web site for a few weeks, so I'm just hoping he's OK. And I hope my anti-Pod music selections were acceptable to the masses.
Thanks to everyonein attendance for making the event a great success!!! We should have a final count on the donations to our charities soon- not a single penny would have gotten there without everyone who registered & came out to enjoy the evening.
Bill
