Flipped PW

Any news on the occupants of the flipped PW? I understand they were taken to the hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers go out. Does anyone know where or what Hospital they would have gone to?

On my way back from the Autocross, we drove past the scene- I'm guessing it was 3:30-4:00 range give or take....the car was still up on it's side against whatever stopped it from going all the way over (tree I've heard??). I did see two people sitting on the hillside behind the car, I was assuming they were the occupants awaiting medical attention- help was at the scene, park rangers maybe? I hope everyone is OK- a car can be replaced.

I know one of our DCMMers has a picture of it. They were just in the right place.

Please tell me this wasn't the couple with the toddler in the Pepper White. They had the only Pepper White cabrio I saw. We talked to them during the midnight run and the little guy was sound asleep in his car seat. They were from Atlanta. I hope everyone is OK.

I'm pretty sure it was not......The accident happened earlier on Saturday, prior to the midnight run- The bottom of the car was facing me when I drove by, but it looked to be a tin-top MINI, not a cabrio.

Nope, they were at the AtlantaMINIs farewell breakfast, with a very happy (and wiggly) baby in the back seat.

I hope everyone involved is ok!

If they went to the hospital, it wlould have been Swain County, in Bryson City.

Shankrabbit and I passed this PW on the way up - the occupants, who were sitting on the side of the road, looked to be two older men (I think they both had gray hair, but I could be wrong) and a younger female with red, curly hair.

Not sure who they were, but our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I must have just missed them...I did my first official run Saturday around that time (3 ish). The rain had slacked off and it didn't seem that slippery when I ran. I wonder what happened.

i ran across them coming south on the dragon... i think they must have just gone off the side- its not really by a big turn... nor is the accident in an area where Gforces would have played a part.... dont know... we will have to wait for the PW's parents to inform us...

WOW - what a picture. I bet they just ran off the side and tried to over correct, flipping it into the ditch. I hope all is well with them now!
