OK, this is the first year I'm missing the dragon since getting my car in '05. I'm rather bumming about the whole thing . Who else is missing the dragon and bummed out about it? It's been one of the highlights of my year the last couple. Hopefully I'll be taming that big lizard again next year.
But for now... I won't lie... I'm looking for sympathy, condolences, pity... a shoulder to cry on, money... whatever.
Hope everyone already down there, or on the way, has a safe, enjoyable trip. Motor on!

You get my sympathy, and I'm bummin with you . Last year was our 1st time to attend but for several reasons we are unable to go this year and it is about to kill me

I'm right there with ya Jay...we've gone the last couple of years and as soon as we leave, I look forward to the next year. But this year just couldn't happen since the hubby is currently out of a job
I won't be there either this year. I'm usually holding down the fort at cabin 473 - right on the corner by the adventure center. My Michigan buddies will still be there and they are under strict orders to make sure we have a cabin again for next year.
I'm majorly bummed about missing the festivities this year so I'm taking it out on myself by reading every dragon thread I can find. Its torture.
There's always next year. Sigh.
To anyone whos there.. say Hi to every MichiganMINI you can find and tell them I love them.
It's quite a bummer for me too. I am thousands of miles from home, and haven't driven my MINI in over 5 months, and my wife is at the Dragon right now (in my car)!

Oh, sorry to hear that Manda! We really enjoyed hanging with you and Steve the last couple years. Sucks that you're missing it too. My reason(s) for missing isn't so bad - new baby and all - hope things turn around for you guys.
Well, we have a full-fledged pity party going now! All we need is some sad violin music.
I'm missing the dragon too becaus of one little problem, my MCS is still on the port in South Hampton! A few weeks late...hopefully I'll have it so I can put my decals on it for the 500!
For some reason my throwout bearing decided to destroy itself the day before I was to leave for the Dragon. Fate has never been so cruel. Im getting the clutch done at the same time.

I was packed - had the room booked at the Blue Waters Inn and was fueling up when the cell phone rang and it was my wife telling me that the day care place our son went to was closing for 2 days due to family issues. I became an instant Mr. Mom and tooled around locally for the weekend with the little guy. Would've liked to have gone, but $$ is tight anyhoo and the weather here in NY was spectacular this weekend. Did it rain down there?
Next year - Peter

We had a great time with you guys too the last couple years and grats on the new baby! Hopefully we'll make it next year. We are actually going to the Dragon at the end of May with some Subaru folks. Some of our friends run a Subaru performance business and we are just using their cabin as a place to crash for the weekend and we managed to convince some other friends to watch our doggies so except for the fact that gas costs $3.30/gal at the moment, we'll have a pretty cheap trip
