The MOTD this past weekend wouldn't have been the success it was if it hadn't been for our DCMM members, both on the board and off.
Michael and Patricia Babischkin worked extremely hard all year and during the event to pull it off. Patricia is still suffering from laryngitis as a result from this weekend and Michael is still pooped.
Marina, Jen and Michael Oakes, Janelle, and several others also put forth a lot of effort to help out this past weekend.
I am very, very proud of the club for it's unstinting effort toward MOTD, and I hope our "tradition" of hard work for this event will continue.
Congratulations to us!

Katie:
You make me blush. I can't do much more as I still have NO voice.
Despite all the hard work and the long hours, it was a blast. I do hope that DCMM stays as active. It was very aparent that we have a wonderful group of fine folks, who has no problem adopting any one else and being welcoming to all comers. We walked away with all but one category of chili cook-off prizes ( Congrats to Marty and his son --- such talent) and still found time to eat, drink and be merry.
I love DCMM and will miss you horribly when I'm on the left coast. If only I could pack each and every one of you!!!
I have some special call outs:
John DaCrema: Thank you and your family. Your family babysitting Joe is the only way we could have run away for the weekend and that is as always fabulous. FYI, Joe is still sleeping off his fun. Also, thank you for feeding us Wednesday. It was yummy and so nice of you. I can't believe I ate so well that evening and you are tops!
Jen and Mikes Oakes: Thank you for swinging over and helping to organize the invoices for the reg desk. It was wonderful for you to help out and I know you also manned the DCMM desk too. As always you kids are such hard workers.
Mark M.: Thanks for letting me volunteer you without question. You were a HUGE help and continued to help when I ran off to Maryville for more printing.
Katie: Our little cheerleader and work horse. Thank you personally for chasing David around to give me the much needed chance to sit down and rest. I owe you HUGE hugs.
Janelle, Paul, Jim, & Marina: I saw you kids working from across the room at the cook-off. I'm glad each of you made it and worked SO hard. I still can't believe how much money we brought in for the club. I hope it helps buy a banner (or two) and seed some awesome events this summer.
Now, can everyone pray I find my voice again? I lost it at the Dragon and now I sound like a Dragon who doesn't breathe fire anymore
Hugs to all,
PB
