Been on the Dragon in a MINI with no name...

Over in my club's forum someone asked my car's name. It has none, and I answered in song. I decided to share it and moved it over here...

==========================

A MINI with no name. By Mark (Oh, for the REALLy young NAM'ers, the original song is America's "Horse with no name")

On the first part of the journey
I was feelin’ no more strife
There were bears and birds and dear and things
There were dams and window clings
The first thing I met was a guy ‘cross the line
And the guy had no damn clue
The Dragon was hot and the road was twisty
But the air was full of sound

I've been on the Dragon in a MINI with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
On the Dragon you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

After two days in the Dragon sun
My car was still Chili Red
After three days in the Dragon fun
That guy crashed near the river bed
And the story it told of a MINI not slow
That guy was lucky not to be dead

You see I've on the Dragon in a MINI with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
On the Dragon you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

After nine days I let the MINI run free
'Cause the Dragon had excited me
There were bears and birds and dear and things
There were dams and window clings
The Dragon’s an autocross it goes round and round
And a perfect disguise above
Under the trees lies a road on the ground
But the troopers will give no love

You see I've on the Dragon in a MINI with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
On the Dragon you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...
