My lights and the issues involved...

Well not to dwell but my lights worked for their last time Friday night while my tail lights were not. I make the statement to the effect of a car behind me as I had a MINI kind enough to follow me and be sure I was not hit, though I was struggling to see anyways. I thank you ( as I did not get your name at the time) for the assist and well I am glad my headlamps at least got me to the gas station at Fontana Village before they finally gave out. It was difficult to see during the other night time drives that anything larger than a classic got behind me though. I understand Clo that you may not have known the entire schedule of when my lights worked and when they did not, as I did not expect to loose them.

A MINI following to be sure I was safe is what this is all about, that is the courteous behavior that ought to be commended and encouraged.

Now to rip out this Lucas wiring harness along with other things that are in need of repair.

What other choices do you have besides Lucas? Does V-tech do electrical for classic Minis? Didn't Mr. Lucas famously say "A gentleman doesn't motor at night?"

Dude, whats with all the whining lately? I think you're going overboard, and it brings a bad taste to if not just my own mouth, but possibly others also.

I hope that you are somehow being sarcastic?

No I'm not.. I'm honestly sick and tired of all this whining going on. If you have an issue with one particular person, then I think the most appropriate thing to do is adress the issue with that person. Yes the person whom he has an issue with is on NAM and does post.

I was contradicted in a locked thread. (not to say this was done by purpose or anything)

I did not want to sound as if I was making up the whole bloody thing.

And if you do not like what I write you are free to ignore it.

I spoke with Clo and all is cleared up between us.

The way I read it, this thread was to both thank the unknown person that escorted him to safety and to explain that he was not out on the dragon driving without lights. Where is the whining?

Ok done.

Glad you made it back in! I was the passenger in the car that followed you, which is Matti-the-Mini, driven by Bentley from Kansas City.
