Picture request from Friday morning

Hi everyone. I just happened to pull in to Deal's Gap yesterday morning in time to see all y'all arriving and then joined the parade through the Tail of the Dragon with several hundred Minis. I must say, it was quite a sight.

Anyway, I was driving the green NSX and would love it if anyone reading here got any pictures of me as I drove back and forth. I saw a lot of cameras pointed at us as we went by so I'm hoping someone snapped a shot or two and would share. While I have a lot of pictures of my car, I don't have a single one with me actually driving it down the road.

I talked to several of your members in between laps and have to say that Mini owners are a heck of a nice and friendly bunch. Congrats on your cars and the community you've got. I couldn't have found a better bunch to spend the morning tearing up the roads with.

I got a few pictures of the Minis as they paraded and on the road. Probably nothing special compared to some of the professional photo rigs I saw, but if anyone wants them, they are here at the bottom of the page:

I had just completed driving the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway including Skyline Drive in the 2 days prior so this was an excellent end to the fun part of my trip. If any of you are ever passing through Sarasota, give us a honk and a wave!

Ha, I did get you in my video that I shot from my camera around 9:30 am, friday, along with 1 Corvette and a few pickup trucks!

Yes, the MINI community is a greatone to be in......A MINI would compliment your NSX well, you should try one!

Pardon the slight threadjack, but what a cool drive! That was actually my plan a few weeks ago driving from Washington, DC to Pensacola FL, but unfortunately, the weather didn't work out. It poured rain the days that I wanted to do it, and the fog was so thick in the mountains that I literally couldn't see more than 6 feet in front of the car.

Oh well, maybe the trip back up!

It was a very cool drive! It was also a really really long drive. I am always amazed at how little traffic there is on the parkway. It's soooo beautiful. I guess the weather is a crap shoot this time of year. I drove it last year about this same time and it was drizzly and overcast.

It's totally different from the area around Deal's Gap though. The Parkway felt like a place to just mosey along at a relaxed pace. No one was going fast, heck there wasn't hardly any traffic, and it was a time to admire the scenery and listen to the world around.

acej80 - thanks for the link to killboy. I did see their car there and will keep an eye on their site. That's an interesting little niche they've carved out for themselves.

Also, if there are other places that anyone would suggest that might have pictures from Friday, please let me know. Thanks!
