UPDATE!!!!!

ok guys this is the real 4GAZM here a bunch of my freinds at the dragon got ahold of my phone that had email and wi-fi internet and posted their feelings on my phone so again sorry for the trouble i personally wouldent care much, my car wasnt stickerd but theirs was, and i geuss it wasnt easy to remove and left gumed up paper and stuff all over kind of like a tow sticker but again im sorry to all that felt hurt by this post, but i also agree with the putting under the wiper blade to be aplied by the owner

Enthusiasm is great and all but it's perhaps best not to get too carried away. Pass out stickers...yes. Slap them haphazardly on unsuspecting MINIs...no. Even at best it opens the door to mis-understandings.

Well its not as bad as I was expecting to hear, but gokartride has a very good point here. Remember we all love our MINIs and I doubt many would have an issue running a decal for a few days, but let that be the driver/owners choice. I feel gulity "tagging" a MINI with a club business card under the wiper.

I've seen them. They are installed on the side windows. You can easily remove them (like any vinyl) without any trace of them existing. No, I have no involvement in this. I saw them tonight at the Beer Swap and one of my friends asked me if I knew where they came from!

I'd be pissed too. I'd find out who did it and put stickers on there mouth and eyes, tie up there hands and lock them in a closet so they couldnt enjoy the dragon anymore.

Ok, take a deep breath or 5...

Do you honestly think that given how much everybody at the Dragon loves their cars, that they're actually go to do anything to a car that isn't theirs that would possibly be permanent or leave a mark?

I mean please, it's an entire weekend of MINI worship... Nobody's defacing cars. If you don't like the sticker... peel it off....

I seem to recall some shady bumper sticker episodes from years past. In any case...sounds like these will cause no problems so all's well?

They do this at Europa Park in Germany. You park in the lot and when you come out there is a sticker on your back window. Even if you have one they put a new one on.

if this is serious (i have my doubts , and assume its a joke)....then it is bad news for NAM

I remember back when the dragon wasnt even an annual event yet, and people were ecstatic that someone was putting MINI stickers on their car at the dragon....

Get over yourself. If you're really ticked about this you're in the wrong place with the wrong people and definitely in the wrong car.

Perhaps a nice kit Cobra would work better for you. You could poot around wearing your Carroll Shelby hat and squinting your eyes real cowboy-like and write exenteded bloated purple prosey blog entries about your heroic journey down to the end of the driveway and such.

It's a car, not a sacred statue. Get the hell over yourself.:impatient

In years past people put "Actual Size" stickers on people's cars. I guess now its dragon stickers.

I agree with 4GAZM here - maybe you guys who think it's all a big joke should consider how you'd feel if next time you go down to the Walmart someone slaps a "George Bush Rocks!" or a big rainbow sticker or a peeing Calvin or anything else on your car. It's not the fact that it's a cool Dragon sticker, it's definitely uncool to *apply* that sticker to someone elses car.

What's wrong with sliding the sticker under the wiper blade, and letting the car's *OWNER* decide if and where to apply it.

Again, everyone who's at the Dragon worships their MINI as much as you. I'm not even there, don't know who's doing it, but I KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that what is being applied to peoples cars down there will be 100% non-marking, and removable... How do I know? After having been to MOTD, AMVIV and several other large MINI events I've seen first hand the types of people who go to these events and why, and I know that they have the same infatuation with the MINI as everbybody else there... It's not permanent, peel it off and go enjoy yourself...

As opposed to your example where it's just some stranger slapping crap on your car and could care less if you drive a 30 year old beater or a $150k luxomobile... That same person could be very likely to slap something on a car that would damage it and be difficult at best to remove...

As trivial as it may seem to some - MINI people should know better - ( or perhaps were are making the assumtion that All MINI people are *Real* car enthusiasts ) 't's just a common curtesy not to #$&^ with someones ride... No leaning - NO Sitting on the Hood !
Ya don't put some sticky POS on someones car !

I was envisioning paint ball hits, keys, slashed tires... BBD said it best so far.
