1/32 scale Slot Car MINIs?

Well since we have RC MINI's of all sorts, Why not Slot cars?

Anyone have some Scaly slot car track that they could bring and we could duke it out?

I have a yellow and checkered JC challenge and a Red TIJ Scalextric MINI Coopers that could be brought.

You need to get paulgraz to go... I swear he has every 1/32 scale MINI slot car made to date... including a few BMW employee-only versions sold through the company store. Others purhcased from Europe...

If anyone is into old Aurora T-Jets, there's a guy who's making MINI bodies for them. http://www.fandangoracing.com/home.html He's not showing them on his site, but he does sell some. Usually around $20 or so. Send an e-mail if your interested. Great guy.

I have the same set; however I am not sure if I will make the dragon.

I wonder how many 1/32 slot cars I could pack in to the glove box or under the toggles?

It is the size of the track that will take up the space.

I just did a simple test track to learn how to cut turns etc. I plan on doing something more complex in the future. Click here http://slotcarillustrated.com/portal...tachmentid=292

Maybe a Dragon inspired slot car track?

OK 1/34 scale usea a 1/8 inch wide slot and the braid is 1/16 away from the edge of the slot.

So... It might work.

Hey guys,

I didn't notice this thread before. I have been working on something for this. I have a large 1/32 Scalextric layout, 4 slots. It is designed like Blackhawk Farms Raceway. I am working out a way to transport and do races with a few prizes. Bring your own but "rental cars" will likely be available. Stay tuned. If I can get it all worked out I'll let you know. The commute to the Dragon is only about 45 minutes for me but moving this thing is no small matter.

This is why you build a slot car track.

Where you going to set it up at? Your cabin? What about controlers, I have a Parma 45 ohm setup for aligator clips.

I am working on finishing up MIB in 1/32 scale. OK yes I have some things to look over. Seems Hornby doesn't have a LHD interior, or my 5 star rims. But I will overlook that!

I just finished writing up a how to article for Slot Car Illustrated on how to build a slot car track with MDF, copper tape from stained glass shops and a Dremel.

Edit>> You guys should be used to this by now....this was queenB not hotelcalif.

What I am working on is to have it at the Welcome Dinner for play and then on Saturday night, before, during and after dinner, have bracket racing. Nice prize for the winner......free Phil Wicks school day. My biggest problem is transport as we didn't build it to move. It is one large table with track secured to it.

Plus I bring more than one car to the Dragon. I have a classic, both hubby and I have MINIs and we would like to play some with the new addition, an Elise.

Your article sounds cool. You are way more into it than we are.
