MINI Fisheye Photos

Took these with new lens- the Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8 fish. (on D70)
Since I've never owned glass this wide, I'd like some critique.

For comparison purposes, this was taken with my CoolPix 5400.

All four photographs were taken at sundown twilight on Southern California's Palos Verdes peninsula on Saturday, Feb. 26th.

Oh, I don't have one of those screen-sucking spiders to calibrate my monitor with so I apologize if the contrast or colors are way off for you. (I'm using an iceBook. 12" LCD screen set to "Millions of colors." Brightness set all the way up.)

Suggestions on lighting with a fisheye?
Distortion too distracting?
Curvature? (up or down?)
Already a cliché?

As stated, I only took delivery of this lens a few days ago. I haven't had a chance to try it out on multiple MINIs. (already have ideas for that scenario- in Vegas!)

Thanks in advance,
J/C

P/S: Give me a minute to get the NOMEX® in case I need it.
