Is anyone and ER nurse that helped a downed biker?
I've been asked by a friend of mine to attempt and track down an ER nurse that helped a biker that went down during our latest dragon event . The only description I have is that she was "a long blonde haired angel, that drove a MINI". Apparently she was directly behind the spill, since he barely stopped rolling before she was on the scene. He did suffer a punctured lung, but everything else is in one piece. He would very much like to call/write and thank this "angel". Please help me track her down. I guess this just shows what a great bunch of people MINI owners truely are!
Years ago people would think a big thank you would be all to expect reading something like this, but today and call me skeptical… This smells of law suit.
I drove by two bike wrecks last weekend and saw MINIs at both of them. I have an idea who this person is looking for, but will not give any information about them without their approval. I will PM these people and let them know of the thread, but it’s their call if they wish to give any information or acknowledgment of being there.
I can agree with all of the above.. but most states have a Good Samaritan Law which prohibits lawsuits against people of any status rendering aid in an emergency...Don't know about TN and NC for sure...

Yes, you're right, and both of those states do have them. In the absence of gross negligence, there's no liability.
Regardless of what the law says as far as liability, a person being sued has to hire an attorney. I’ve been sued plenty of times in my profession by people who legally cannot file a claim against me. But I still have to hire an attorney to answer the complaint in order to get it dismissed.
I would hope that Motorcyclists and Mini folk are above petulant lawsuits. I take this at face value - an honest wish to thank a very helpful Mini owner.
While I agree lawsuits are a concerned, I'm leaning towards putting myself in the biker's shoes. If I'd taken a bad spill and someone helped me.......well, I'd be mightly grateful and would want to thank them profusely.

The bad part of this, is you have to spend mucho dollars on court/attourney costs to prove you did not have gross negligence when they do bring you to court. It's a sad, sad situation.
Currently she is on a road trip but I have contacted her and told her about this thread, I was the one driving when she jumped out of a moving car...
Its funny because myself and a couple of others told her that she is a hero and what not and all she does is turn bright red and say she was just doing her job, still none the less a hero.
Its too bad that everyone's first thought turns to law suits. I must say that I understand though in today's times, so no hard feelings. He just wants to say thanks for all the help that she provided and her quick response. Thanks for the PMs that have been sent already. I'll let him know that she has been located and let them go from there. Thanks for all your help! By the way what a great weekend for the MINI's huh ? Everyone who helped put it together did an awesome job!
Hey - that's me in the pic.
No thanks needed - All I was doing was my job and nothing more than what I would hope someone else would do if I were in the situation. I'm glad he's going to be okay - it's always nice to hear follow up.
