Dogs at MITM '08

Just curious to know who is bringing their dog to this year's MITM??

We're bringing one of our two hounds. Finn (Scottish Deerhound) is coming along and Gavi (Ibizan Hound) is having a sleepover at a dog-friend's house in Denver (Gavi is harder to manage while we work off-site!).

Finn LOVES the mountains and I've found that Copper is a great, dog-friendly place. He doesn't really know it yet but he's looking very forward to MITM '08!

Anyone else bringing their canine friend??

I'm bringing Jenny and Jabooty, my two Shih Tzus! They're so excited! Beware though, Jenny thinks she's a Chow when she sees a big dog -- my other dog is a Chow and she can beat him up (she thinks - he just patronizes her).

I have a mini friend who would love to bring up their dog, but the condo Japic and I are staying at doesn't allow dogs either. Any suggestions on which places will allow dogs?

You should go to: www.vrbo.com where condo owner's rent out their places individually (read: without Copper's help or restrictions). The website allows you to find dog friendly places at a glance, as the list as a few icons next to each title including a dog icon. That's how I found our condo, which allows dogs.

I looked at that, and those were out of my budget, Betsy is not making the trip with me due to work, so it did not make sense to pay for a dog friendly place in Frisco....the ones I was look at were about twice the price for the condo I got. Since it is just me, I went the inexpensive route.

Bummer that you couldn't find a good deal! My Copper condo is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, right next to the MITM vendor parking lot for $90/night. (I know, I know... I'm such a show off when I find a good deal!) But, I need all that space for me, Nick, Finn, and Nick's mom. I can imagine how a smaller place is probably not much cheaper and then the price per person goes way up. Oh well... maybe next year!?

The three Corgis will be back with Daisy for the third year. And the one that was there in the sling due to back surgery is doing great and is so excited about being back this year.

We're bringing two of the MiniMutts this year. After they tried the fabulous fresh-baked dog treats we brought home from the Minturn Farmer's Market last year, they demanded to come along!
