MITM3 - First Ever COLOR Run!

Yes, it has been officially suggested that we hold our first ever COLOR Run. Thanks to Teena (RUDEBOX) there is going to be a 'Chili Red' (Rudebox Red) run at MITM3. Teena will post here the date she likes, and the time, and I suppose that the group going can choose the destination if she does not. But only Chili Red MINIs and Minis are invited. There will be 3 combos allowed:
  1. CR/R
  2. CR/B
  3. CR/W
See you all there. Teena? All yours.....

Do I hear....Pure Silver Run?

All Colors Welcome

Not too sure about the schedule yet but maybe on Friday when we do the drive to Rocky Mountain Natl Park and Winter Park, we can leave in "shifts" from Copper Mountain.

We can group all the base colors together (whether with or without bonnet stripes, diff. roof colors, cabrios, etc. is all ok)

For example....
- All the Chili Reds, Nightfire Reds (all reds, diff. roof colors, stripes, etc) leave at X time
- next line up: all Cool Blues, Electric Blues, Hyper Blues (all blues, diff. roof colors, stripes, etc) leave at X time after the Reds
- next line up: all Liquid Yellow, Mellow Yellow, Solid Gold (?) (all yellows, diff. roof colors, stripes, etc) leave at X time after the Blues

etc, etc, etc.....Thoughts?

That might be fun to do it that way. Would be in the Blues group (too cool). ;)

This would be really fun. Not only would the citizens of route towns get an enjoyable MINI-spectacular in periodic monochrome splendor, but finally our little red MINIs can be free to motor unencumbered by our MINI brethren who are significantly red-deficient and who are therefore (by indisputable scientific fact) somewhat fast-challenged.
We all know that red is faster.

I think I like the idea better as presented by Rudebox. No need to exclude anyone, we'd only be grouping. I'd be up for it, but definately feel that the Whites (pepper white and no others?) are going to be seriously outnumbered.

Hopefully other folks wouldn't mind such groupings. Some folks want to motor with their friends, no matter the color of their car. (man this thread is sounding like an anti-MLK drive; grouping folks based on the color of their paint.)

Oh, and Chuck, if you reds are so fast, why are you always behind me on those runs? ;) Maybe my stickers give more horsepower than your paint. Yah, that must be it.

You got a twirly thingy under your bonnet - that is probably most of it. Just think how much further behind I'd be if my MINI wasn't red.
I would think this would just be a grouping idea for the ride start, not a one-color ride.

Yes, I was thinking it could be a "one-color ride."

Reds, Blues, Blacks, Silvers, Grays, Yellows, Whites, Greens, custom colors, etc, etc.

It would be fun, just for one ride at least. There will be several other rides where we can ride with friends of another color.

If no one wants to do it for the RMNP/Winter Park ride, maybe when the list of rides is posted, we can pick "color rides" from that and those that want to do it, can line up with their color group and leave from there. So just something to think about especially if you want to lead a "color ride."

No discrimination here. Just a chance to play in a different way.

Would you consider a ride grouped by color (Mini Rainbow Ride). Red Minis up front springing the Law Enforcement by their speed-sensing magnet color.

Followed by other primary colors such as blue & yellow. Between red & blue would be Purple Haze, between blue & yellow the BRG's, etc. w/ Pepper White then Black in the back.

Yeah a "rainbow ride" would be fun!
How about a "patriotic ride" too!
What other color schemes could we come up with....

Black in the back of the rainbow is fine ... the back is always faster on these group runs. Could never figure out why.

Just for the record I know there's been a little chatter about this idea in other places, so I hope that we're still considering a proposal for a run. The organizer can make a suggestion and people can take it or leave it as they decide.
