Sure hope you can get those days off Jon, but if not remember we are starting a day earlier so you can have two days in Copper before the weekend.

Yes I must agree with 03Indigo and Shellbell that is a nice color on the MINI. We are hoping we can make it this year also. Trying to get interest built up for more people from the Wichita area to attend.

I've blocked off the dates and am looking forward to participating! I'm soliciting interest from within our group and and with other MINIs in the area. I'm also hoping to get sufficient critical mass to organize a convoy for the trip west.

Hope to see you there!

Just three words for you guys: August, Mountains and Motoring!
August as in it is really hot in IA & KS (not so much in CO).
Mountains as in lush scenery and fresh cool air.
Motoring as in MINIs and Twisties - enough said.

Come by yourself if you have to and make some new friends or better yet bring some of your friends and make some new ones too!

Thanks Shellbell, how come I don't see any pictures of what you drive? Some people are asking the prices to stay there so I guess I'll have to look up what you have done before.

That is so true. Maybe I will just snag either the Friday or Saturday night off, and work the rest of the weekend, and still get to play.

Does that mean we are doing our "unofficial drive" up on Wednesday this year

I would be happy to plan that again, but that is a way, long way, off from now.

Hopefully I will have the interior project done by then, haha.

I missed the group drive up last year since I was helping set-up and had to be there early. Probably the same this year, but with any luck we can hit a ride or two (us MCs have to stick together since the MCSs at times get cocky and like to drop us).

LOL...I can keep up with the R53's, and 56's, just ask those on the Thursday drive up the Western Dragon from last year. Well, I can kinda keep up, I was behind Randy Webb in his 56 and there was Tim in his GP behind me. Randy left us all in the dust, and I held up the rest of the group

Anyway, I think we should have an R50 specific drive this year at MITM...that would be awesome, and R50 specific photo shoot, or even an R56 standard cooper and R50 cooper photo shoot and drive. Now that would be a hoot!!!

I can answer this one. Unfortunately Shelly doesn't actually own a MINI or Mini. She does however, borrow cars from her work. Since she works for our local dealership, and is the official Dealership Liason for the club she gets to borrow many different MINIs.

After I posted my question I thought she might have worked at the dealership. But then whats to say she could'nt go out and take a picture of a different one every month or two?

I requested the weekend off, so I will be there from Wednesday thru Saturday night, going home either late Saturday or early Sunday as I still need to work that Sunday night

I'm in between those 2 places! What kind of trip are you planning on taking through the parks; winding or straight through?

MITM3 Information?

I'm a new member of MINI5280, and was wondering when and how I can sign up for the MITM3 Aug. 6-10 in Copper Mountain? Also, I was at the meeting Tuesday night 3/11 (fun!) and we were told that volunteers were needed for this event. I'd be happy to help out, just need to know who to contact!

And finally, will there be lodging available at a reduced rate - and if so when can we make reservations? Is one hotel in particular the headquarters?

Any information would be much appreciated!

Thanks.
