Well that's my point....I edited the OP because I inadvertantly made it sound like I'd heard bad things about Schomp which I have not....the input I have is about dealers in general.

Do dealers get wierd about releasing a car without it going through their Detail Gauntlet?

Is it possible to really evaluate the car before acceptance if they haven't done it up first. I mean if you're the one taking off the plastic, how do you then prove that the large gouge wasn't something that you put there. If they've removed all the protective covering and cleaned it ...then you get to inspect it for damage and have a leg to stand on if you find any.

I wonder if they'd compromise by taking off the protectants and washing it but no more....
