Microfiber lint!

I am trying to get rid of some water spots on my car with quik detailer and my microfiber towels...but, the problem is my towels are linting a LOT. Am I doing something wrong or are my towels (bought at costco, can't remember the brand) just cheap? Please help me, this is very frustrating . Thanks
