100,000 mile mark

Ok gang. I should hit the 100k mark some time next week. I was wondering if I'm going to be the first? Wonder if Mini USA will give me a gold star or something for this mile stone?

Wow!

You should get a prize! Something bigger and nicer than a gold star. maybe they should name a star after you.

Wow, Doug! Way to go....motoring!

I hope that when you do cross the 100K mark that you will post a full report about your motoring experience and how your MINI has held up, as well as how long you plan to keep it. You certainly deserve some special recognition from MINIUSA! I hope they're following this thread.

I personally think no one else in the USA and probably the world has a MINI with such high mileage.

Drving an average of 4K miles per month in 22-23 months should speak loads about the quality and reliability of these cars. That is a lot of use for sure.

Also, not bad for a first year production MCS.

Congratulations on your motoring record and be sure to take a pic of the odometer once it rolls foward to 100K.

He is right here in Florida. I think he drives an average of 4K miles per month and has owned the car for about 22-24 months. He has driven the car all over the country as well.

Serious Congratulations! You may well have the highest mileage MINI in the US. You should contact MINIUSA about that to see if they have a high mileage club. I once had a Volvo which topped 100,000 and Volvo sent me a rather nice grill badge which they apparently made for 100K, 200K and so on. Inasmuch as not many MINI's would have normally reached that plateau yet, they may not have given this much (if any) thought so perhaps you could be the trendsetter for the rest of us. And I thought 20K in a year and a half was excessive. You're already an inspiration to us all!

Gold star? They should give you a gold car and feature you in their new "Let's really motor!" ad campaign.

Congrats!

My '02 MCS will be 2 in August. I have 8,000 miles on the clock at this time. Unfortunately, the low miles are because I have been sick most of the last 2 years.

Looking forward to getting better so I can put some real miles on the Mouse.

Good going guy, I thought I was burning up the miles. I will cross 64k later this week and I picked my MINI up in April 2002. Been up and down the East Coast, have not ventured very far West. Maybe later this year.....
