Hi, Located some wheels , for my R53, will a 40mm offset 17X7.5 wheel fit a R53?

Yes, a 17x7.5 et40 (40mm) offset will fit.
What tire size are you planning to use?

as much Star Spec as I can!
I would to get some Dunlops as wide as possible .

There's no 225/40R17 street tire, and 225/45R17 is a little too tall. I'd go with 215/45R17.

It will be close, so it depends on the tire size and how much your car is lowered?
