We don't get to pick a spot, someone will assign a parking spot for us based on the time we drive into the area. FYI.

Yes, yes, you are correct, but you can position yourself closer to the front or back of the line of cars in to end up pretty close to where you want to be. I was present last year and they will begin to fill in the back, then sides, then front. So, picking your exact spot? No. But you can get close.
