MotorGyrlz Road Trip to the MINI in the Mountains event at Copper
Mountain, Colorado.
And who are the MotorGyrlz ..... 2 twisty sisters, Laura (aka Thelma)
and Jenny (aka Louise). But don't expect us to be driving off any
cliffs - we do plan on making it back to Virginia in one piece.
Wikipedia defines a road trip as "a journey via automobile, sometimes
unplanned or impromptu", thus encompassing any journey by automobile,
regardless of stops en route.
a journey via automobile - a 2006 Mini Copper S Pepper White Convertible -
impromptu - VERY - we just decided to go last week.
stops en route - still working on that!
Our road trip will include, but not be limited to....
Family, Friends, Road Food, Driving the Twistys in the Rockies,
Sun, Fun, Shopping, Baseball, Quilts, Chardonnay, Hiking and who knows
what else!
We hit the road on Saturday, August 4th. Ride along by visiting our
web site at www.motorgyrlz.com
Motor On!

Hey Jenny,
would be interested to know what day you plan on going through OK. We are leaving out on Wednesday for Copper ourselves. Instead of going North on I-35 through Wichita to I-70 we will be going across 412 from Tulsa through the panhandle (Woodward, OK to Raton, NM then North to stay the night in Pueblo, CO. Thursday a scenic drive west through Canon city then North through Leadville to Copper. Check out OKMINI.com site for better map.
My wife would love talking crafts and scrapbooking

Tom, Cheryl, and I ran into the Gyrlz just into Kansas. The 3 cars made it all the way to KC, then parted ways for them to see some sites this morning. Then we met back up here in Indy and had dinner with the Gyrlz and the Indy MINI club tonight, just barely made it with the time change. They are heading home in the morn.

[QUOTE=minianni;1689543]Loved the web site ladies. Thelma, you list your age as classified but you let it slip at dinner... how much to keep quiet?

Sounds like a plan! I might even get CAS to join us. We had a VERY serious conversation today about purchasing another MINI for him and a bike for me. I think I mentioned he just sold his Jag... He had a total BLAST at the Guinness Run in VA Beach. Will keep you posted. FYI- The Indie Club is doing a run to Falling Water in October... Jenny & I are interested in going. Will let you know the details.
Will probably be down in North Cackalacky soon to visit my sister... Will be in touch!
Motor on-
Laura
