Anyone heading to MITM on Thursday? (from or through Colorado Springs)

Anyone heading up to MITM on Thursday? We'll be leaving Colorado Springs Thursday probably around 9 or 10AM. Route TBD but probably the back way taking 24 east to 9 north, through Breckenridge and eventually hitting 70 west to Copper. The route could change though because we were thinking of heading north and hitting the Western Dragon some how.

Suggestion:

Take 67 / 126 out of CS thru Woodland Park, up thru Pine, CO to Hwy 285. Then drop over thru Evergreen, and catch the Dragon 103 at Bergen Park.

Back way all the way, twisties galore, and some speed. Just allow time - it will take a while.

Hwy 9 thru the valley is fine, but mild. Enjoy this route.

that's too early indigo. we still have to drop the dogs off and the kennel doesn't open that early hehe. we might join you guys for dinner thursday night though once you settle on a place to eat. we'll have to call them up to see if they have any gluten free options.

New Mexico Mini Motoring will be heading up on Thursday, but once we hit Pueblo, we're heading up through the mountain. Check out our forum for the MITM run: http://nmmini.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=67

I know that we're not completely set on the driving route, but I know it is getting ironed and we'll know a lot more soon.

Thanks for the offer 505. I think we're going to try and hit the Western Dragon on the way up though. The route your taking is great too. Take 50 west following the river is an excellent ride filled with great scenery and twisties. Just make sure you drive to at least Salida before going north or you'll miss all the twisties.

buzzsaw,

let me know if you're going to head to Copper with minimae.

if you're not then we can try to catch each other. i'd like to do the western dragon on the way in. just need to figure out how. jonathan gave me some directions and i'm going to map it out tonight to see how long that will take us.

blckmorning,

thanks for the offer. not sure it would be worth your time to wait for us that long. don't want to hold you up. we're going to try and hit the western dragon on the way in. hope the bikes don't fall off the roof of SPOON hehe.

nthwolf,

Heading outta Pueblo Thursday am--no hurry. Route of flight sofar will be west on 50 to Canon City-pick up 9 to Breckenridge, probably lunch there, then on in to Copper Mtn. Have not coordinated with anyone else yet. We are extemely flexible on times and routing.

Really! I used to live in Bradburry ranch, just north of you. I still go visit my parents there occasionally.
