A wonderful clockwise ride thru Leadville, Independence Pass, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Vail and back to Copper. 228 miles and 4 hrs plus (enjoy a meal in Glenwood by the river, or better, in Vail). Stop at the Glenwood Hot Springs for a dip (take your swimsuit and your imagination) and enjoy your first-ever Olympic size mineral bath. Yes, this is the place. Hard on the highway, you cannot miss it. A must-see.
This is a memorable ride, don't forget the camera.
Side trip? When in Aspen, head up towards the Maroon Bells. Worth a picture if you can get close. Because of our geography, the back side of the Bells is, believe it or not, Crested Butte. But you can't get there that way. Take the 4 hour ride around...and you are there.
