MITM ~ Lodging Reminder ~

This is a reminder to all MITM attendees to be sure to make your RSVP soon. Please take the following steps to do so:
  1. Click MITM at the top left, then click Registration Options
  2. Scroll down, choose any of the 3 green boxes for "Order Now"
  3. You are now in the NAM store.
  4. On the left, under Categories, click MINIs in the Mountains
  5. Click Lodging. On this page you can RSVP for Budget Lodging, either a single or a double room, depending what is available.
  6. In the 2nd paragraph of each, there is a note (sort of small) about how to make lodging reservations at COPPER. If you have not done so, do this:
Call CMR Copper Mountain Resort Toll Free 866-837-2996
Use the MITM Group Discount Code 3G64QE
The returning attendee discount was only good until June 26.

You are done with lodging. Again, your choices are either of the discount offers or the CMR resort lodging.

Jonathan, do you think it would be possible to do just Thursday night lodging? I have to work Friday night. I already registered for the event, but no lodging, or Thursday night dinner. How would I go about getting a ticket for Thursday night dinner?

I guess I can just call Copper and get a room for one night.

Absolutely.

And if you are not THAT picky about sleeping, the Budget Lodging is your best and cheapest bet.

If you really want CMR nice stuff, post for a roomie or something and shack up on someone's couch for even less. That is not a bad option at all.

There is no room night requirement so you can stay as long or as short as you like.

As for dinner, you can register in NAM right where you registered for the event. Follow the directions below to the green boxes, but don't register for the event again. If you cannot figure it out, follow the link and directions for making 'changes' and send Mark a note. He will do it manually and you will be fine. Thursday dinner alone is perfectly acceptable.

I was wondering the same thing...except I thought I saw a Thursday night dinner option when I was registering. Anyway, I think I will try to persuade some folks to head into Frisco for some burgers or something after the beer swap....than catch up with the 8pm drive as they pass by.

unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible, I too see nothing about THU dinner. Going to Frisco for sandwiches, etc. and waiting for the 8 pm drive to go thru town definitely sounds like a plan. 03Indigo, you're in charge.

I was thinking Friday and said Thursday.

Thursday dinner is on your own. There are multiple options in Frisco including brewpubs. We will have info on them for you from the Frisco C of C when you arrive.

awesome, I will get something planned for dinner, say be in Frisco at around 6pm so we have time to eat and socialize, and get to know everyone. Leave Copper area around 550pm...as it is sooooo close .

The Blue Spruce has AMAZING food, their Salmon is wonderful. There are also some other burger joints in down the street, I will check into things and get a thread started for that.

You should probably know that...

we expect the Brewswap to go much later than just 4-6 pm. In fact, it will probably be late into the night, since the parking structure is ground zero and since there is no reason not to drink cold beer, as long as you are not driving.
We also have snacks and there is no reason not to stay up and eat snacks. Further, some people might consider pretzels a 'gourmet' meal anyway, so who knows what will really happen.

awesome!!!! There will be some choices then. For those that want a sit down dinner/real food, they can head out with us, and for those that want to hand at Ground Zero, "GZ" is what I am officially calling it now, then that is cool too!!! I will bring a sixer to share and swap, but still plan on dinner in Frisco. I need real food in my belly

If you drink Guinness, you don't need to eat. Besides its good for you (read that on a sign in a pub in London so you know its true).

Is the food at the restaurants right in Copper any good? I see people are heading out, but it looks like there are places to eat right at the resort.

it is OK, nothing special, but decent. There are some wonderful places in Frisco and Breckenridge, and Vail is just about 15 minutes over the pass, so there are a bunch of options without too much travel.
