What to expect weather wise

This is the 1st time to Colorado and rarified air. What temp range can we expect. And wife NEEDS to know what to pack. Remember there is only so much room in a Cabrio.

Expect everything!

Okay, that was a silly answer, but we saw snow (on the ground), rain and sunshine. Kind of depends on where you are from as to how cold you will be. The hottest we saw was around 80 during the day. Mornings were cool (cold if you are from southeast Texas!) around 40 or so. Colder at the tops of mountains (Mt. Evans ), mountain tops at midnite (Mt Evans) and passes at dawn. We were fine with long sleeve t shirts, a good mid weight jacket, and gloves. (Convertable owners also. And yes, we drove top down on all but 1 drive (rain). ) T shirts and jeans mostly. Actually began to think 75 was hot after a few days. Returning to 95+ degrees 100% humidity was a shock.

Don't over pack (You can always shop!) and have a blast. We can't come back this year due to a wedding (unless our son can go the wedding for us, come on Army, give him leave!!) so have fun for us. Still haven't told "Monty" (BRG convert also) that he's not going! Don't want a pouting Mini in the garage!

Nechesmini is right on

The highs for Copper this week are forecast in the mid-70s and the lows in the mid-40s. August will probably be similar. We did have some rain last year. Jeans/pants, T-shirts, light sweater or sweatshirt, jacket you should be fine (also gloves and a hat if you want to do Mt. Evans at midnight). At times last year I wore capris, but given the temps never felt the need for shorts. We're not dressy for dinner; I think I wore my MINI5280 polo shirt and wasn't underdressed.

LOL, notice the fleece jacket with long shorts. That's very Colorado!

Actually, it's a good idea to have a sun hat and sunscreen as well, just in case. Worst sunburn I ever got was up in the mountains.

LOL. I would expect 70-80 degrees, afternoon showers, and at night for it to be in the 40-50's
