MITM: Who is bringing their dog?

I thought it would be fun in all this MITM madness to pose this question. As a dog-lover above all, I'm also just curious!

Perhaps we can have a wee get together somewhere for the MINI Mountain Hounds if there's interest.

BTW, most of the Colorado mountain towns are pretty dog-friendly, including Copper.

Also, I will bring my copy of "Canine Colorado" which is a book full of what to do with your dog in Colorado... with a focus on the mountain towns and areas- in case someone wants to peruse it. I'll try to remember to make some copies of the section on the Copper Mtn area for anyone who is interested too.

**Anyway, post here if you plan on bringing your dog to MITM!**

I'm bringing our Scottish Deerhound, Finn.

-Heather

We've just purchased a new 12 week old yellow lab (Mazie). May bring her up but not in the MINI! We didn't specify a pet room for our Copper reservation, I wonder if that matters.

Yea! Other Dog Lovers

I will be bringing my Blue merle border collie, Blue to my first MiTM. I will be leaving my two collies at home .

I reserved a dog-friendly room in Copper Mtn village. I could definitely use some information on dog/people activities while there! Yep, this is my idea of a vacation, just me, Blue and the MINI!

To bring or not to bring... My Black lab, Bella is a great road trip partner, but I have not yet made room reservations... Speaking of which, is anyone looking for roommates or rooms?

Yes, it does matter... I was thinking about bringing my two Shih-Tzus but I already made my reservations for a non-pet friendly room. They did say that the pet-friendly rooms go fast so you will want to check on it soon....

Bringing 2 of our bulldogs on this trip. One of them loves the Mountains, so we couldn't leave her behind.

Heather, does Finn fit into the MINI?

I thought about bringing our Chloe up on the Thursday drive, but she slides around in the car and pretty much hates the MINI and the truck...only likes to ride in the Subaru where she has control over the back seat. If you all are coming up on Thursday from Webb Motorsports, I will bring Chloe so you can meet her.

I just got a new 8 wk old pup to add to the Akita pack. She may be ok to ride alone with me up there. The others would never fit in there, separately even

Another puppy! How extremely cute she is! I hope you can bring her.

I know what you mean... the wee little puppy soon will be giant! Ours have "their own" Suburban.

Luckily Finn has a Suburban now... it's more his size.

I may do the Webb thing on Thursday but I'm not sure. I have to see how my schedule works out that day. I'd love to meet her though! I remember the other photos you showed us before too.

Thanks Heather.... I love to travel, but I hate leaving my dogs, (even though
they get spoiled and pampered by my family while we are gone).

We will be bringing "Bear", our Golden. He loves to go when ever we go any where. He is a pretty large guy and Gene has taken the back seat out and made a flat area for him to ride in. We had him with us at MITM last year.

My wife and I used to take Timon every time we hopped in MINI Bee, but alas, he's getting a little old and fragile (he's 15 in human years). In fact, the last time we took him on a trip in the MINI (MINIs Take The States), he hurt his back after he tried to jump in the hatchback and fell backwards and upsidedown. So, much to our dismay, and surely even more to his, he's going to stay at our home while my sister-inlaw watches him.

Our biggest fellow loves the MINI (The Johnson American Bulldog), but he'll be staying behind this time so his little brother and sister have plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the mountains.

Heather-
That's funny about the Suburban, the whole fam here gets a Durango. Crazy what we do for our furry kids, eh?
