I went to the mini dealer to see about a trade for my 2008 mini cooper S 6-speed with 20,400 miles on it. I ordered it with the sports package/all dark silver. The car is in top shape, no dings and is been really well cared for. I want to trade up for a 2009 or 2010 with a automatic. They talked about the trade in for mine was $17,000 to $20,000. I thought that was really low considering that a lot of them are on the market for $22,000-$23,000.Is a private sale the only way to go? are they yanking my chain? they brag about the value of this car until you want to change. Any feedback would help, bottom line is these cars are great and I want to stay with MINI.
