The radiator fan is ONE fan, two speeds. The second fan is the power steering fan is a seond fan. It is important that both be working correctly, or a few hundread dollar problem might become a several thousand dollar problem. It sounds like you are in good hands as it appears that they are giving you good advise...fix the problems so it works like it should.
