Gear red lines?

I have seen many vids or people running there cars etc, this one recently got me thinking though

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf9phhPdcjk

if you watch as he red lines the gears, or at least comes close his speed seems a bit low, or atleast what it seems to me. in the description it says he has 17% reduction pulley from alta, the alta CAI filter replacement, and flap removal of the JCW air box, which makes me think something is wrong.

i run an 05 mcs with borla aggressive catback, jcw airbox with flap still on (until today ) and that's all the performance work ive done. however through experience and extremely hard driving on a daily basis i know for a fact my gears red line at the following.

1st 40
2nd 70
3rd 90
4th 110
havnt pushed 5th or 6th around town.

anyone have anything they like to share to help me understand why my gears on a less modded car would have such a difference, please post

-frank
