No offense, but it seems a bit mickey-moused to me. (Which is okay if you don't mind the look; it's just not my thing.) Did you basically cut out the bottom edge of the scoop?

+1 on request for pix from other angles so we can have a better look.

Have you checked out DrPhil's article on intakes and diverters? If not, it's worth a look. (I think Voltage has also come out with a larger scoop since that article was written.)
