Paint Hardness Questions????

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the lack of participation lately but I am recovering from a total knee replacement 3 months ago and I am finally moving around much better now

.

I have been having a "debate" of sorts at the office and one of the questions around the water cooler was paint "hardness".

I was curious how this is determined?

Here are my vehicles and I was wondering how they rate on the "hardness" scale:

1. 2009 MINI Cooper Clubman S Horizon Blue paint
2. 2005.5 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Platinum Gray paint
3. 2002 Jeep Liberty Patriot Blue paint
