Winter Prep...

The weather here has just started to turn, so I though I should probably make haste with some preparations for winter.

This car, I'm ashamed to say, has never been detailed. It's my European daily driver and serves its purpose as intercontinental ballistic missile very well. It also got a bit jealous of the amount of love I gave the MCS when it arrived from California.

That said - I spent today cleaning it, claying it (you can imagine the state of the clay afterwards), then applying Amigo, Epic and BG along with Wheel Armour, Clarity on the windows etc.

Although it is a reasonably forgiving colour, it's swirl free. There's a couple of minor light scratches that I could work on, but it will never be concours, too many stone chips etc.

Before - look at the front wheels!

Lots of splattered bugs and road tart:

Looks like a rusty bolt dribbled:

and after:

All the bugs gone, the rusty bolt dribble clayed off no problem.

By no means not an exhaustive detail, but at least it's prepped for easy maintenance through the winter. I'll then do a really thorough job in the spring. Still not a bad looking car for 8 years old and over 100k miles.
