XP Porter Cable Polishers @ OctaneGuy's

This is just a heads up that after extensive testing of the recently released Porter Cable 7424XP random orbital polisher, I am now carrying them in my store. The price hasn't changed from the original polisher bundle that includes my exclusive PC Guards, OneGrip, and Housing Bolts. It also includes the Prima velcro backing plate, and a Prima/LC flat white polishing pad, as well as the white polishing pad that's included with the polisher.

OctaneGuy's PC mods make polishing safer and more comfortable, especially important for newbies, but just as useful for the seasoned pro! These are mods invented by me as a professional paint polisher.

I would like to make clear that the XP polisher looks different from the regular 7424, but it feels the same in terms of weight and balance. The biggest visual difference is the variable speed dial is on the top instead of the end of the tool and the larger bright colored on/off switch.

From a usage point of view, the increased power isn't a day and night difference. It does seem to bog down a little less when slight pressure is applied while buffing, but this factor really only applies to polishing systems such as Meguiar's where applying 15 to 20 pounds of downward pressure is required.

With the Prima system, this "improvement" is less noticeable, but I do like the improved "feel".

I polished out this black Mercedes SLK with ceramiclear paint using the 7424XP, an orange pad, and Prima for perfect results.
