Boost varies from car to car. However, I think you should be getting at least 0.8 bar, which is about 12 psi.

If you have a bad leak, you would definitely hear it when slamming the throttle. It would sound like a whistling noise or be as crude as a farting sound. I would go over your connections and make sure the are nice and tight. Also do yourself a favor and check the throttle body side connection and make sure the hose isn't slipping off.
