I periodically treat them with Black Wow with swabs... I pain in the rear, but lasts a long time and looks great.

When I'm lazy but they're not looking great, I spray them with Adams' Undercarriage Spray - which can be easily wiped off surrounding paint and it dries to a nice flat/satin black, but doesn't last nearly as long as a Black Wow treatment.

I blow the water out of my grilles with compressed air - much easier to get the car dry without drips and runs this way.
