Cold hands cure

Today was the first day my driveway has been clear of snow and ice since early December, so it was time to get in the first outdoor hand wash of the season! My hands get really cold doing this though, especially when its cold and windy. For some reason today I looked on the counter as I was pulling out my washing gear, and my ice fishing mittens were sitting there...hmmmm.

The short story is they worked GREAT! Kept my hands warm and toasty, as they are both insulated and waterproof. So, if your hands get uncomfortably cold, you might give them a try. They usually go on sale this time of year as sporting goods stores put them on sale to clear them out. They come in both mittens and gloves, mittens will keep you warmer but are probably not needed for washing a car. There are several brands, mine happen to be "Ice Armor" (usual not affiliated disclaimer).
