My initial reaction is fear too... in that I wonder how it won't scratch with its single motion function.
At the same time, I cannot see a giant like Mother's selling something that will scratch. A company like that has a full team of risk management specialists and I can't see them allowing something high risk.
I strongly doubt that it can do any paint correction (ie, swirl removal).
So, my guess is that it could be used as an application tool perhaps but not a correction tool. There may be a scratch risk but I would wonder more if it's at all effective at paint prep/correction/etc.
I'm always curious of new things though! If anyone tries it, let us know what you think. One of these days we'll try to give it a go and post results. (that is, one day when we have time.... hmmm... come to think of it I don't know when we'll get to it anytime soon!)
