my 4 week exterior zaino, klasse and s100 carnauba hand detail!

the wife thinks i'm nutso and i guess, maybe i am! but, here are the results after my 4 week hand detail. it's really not as bad as it sounds after the first week. the 2-4th weeks are merely applying extra coats of protection. pretty happy with the results for a hand job but, i wasn't able to totally get all the swirls out by hand. i'll purchase a PC and some swirl soon and get ready for a late summer detail before MTTS here in L.A. also just got the windows tinted.

week 1: ICE wash-clay (clay magic)- zaino pc polish- klasse AIO- 1st coat of klasse SG. for the SG i do one panel at a time then, immediately go back and wipe it off. then onto the next panel.

week 2: wash-dry- 2nd coat of klasse SG

week 3: wash-dry - 3rd coat of klasse SG

week 4: wash- dry - 2 coats of s100 carnauba paste. a.k.a. p21s but, marketed for motorcycles and costs more than 50% less than p21s for the same size tub.

week 5: the final results -just an ICE wash and dry. the results are shown in the pics

other products used: black wow for trims, light coat of endurance on the tires and a 50% windex solution diluted with water on the windows. towels and applicators are sonus and i use the big white waffle weaves from DP (OG) for the drying.

the last picture is just of my door pulls and the leather covers i used to cover the scratched and worn tubes until i get enough "stones" to pull and repaint them. right now i'm restoring the interior to as new with the interior chrome line and new shift and ebrake boots. doesn't need too much work though just little things.

after that i am going to repair my front stone chips, add a clear bra, repair my OEM rims (slight rash in spots) and i guess for the time being the MINI will be complete other than an OEM wing.

let me know what you think...

yes, the grass is terrible and riddled with weeds! but, we're renting and the gardeners are slackers...
