We are getting what appear to be rust spots beginning to show through the front windscreen trim at the top where it meets the roof. The car is garaged and has only 150 mi. on the odometer. The raingutter trim is also fading (not wax residue).
What is this trim made of? Plastic or metal?
What is it finished with? Painted?
We are going to take it to the dealer and get it repaired or replaced, but we are already timid as eacch time its gone it something else has been damaged. Still trying to get the scratches out of the black roof after the Paint Shop repaired the hatchback hinge paint problem (robot problem painting the roof at the hinges and the PW primer was still showing.) Now the inside right rear quarter panel is not properly seated after a replacement of the C-pillar post covers.
We'd prefer to fix the trim ourselves as we're worried about our baby at the shop. Mothers, 303 and Zaino's trim does not phase it.
