Here is my info:

2007 Cooper S, 6-Speed Manual
Build Date: October 2007
Miles: 4700+
Duration: About 1 minute
Frequency: has only happened once.
RPM range: idle
Ambient Temp: 70F
Oil: MINI-Branded 5w-30, factory-fill oil was changed at around 2000 miles

Any other relevant information:
The car was parked in the garage at around 10 pm on a Saturday night. The noise was heard when the engine was started at around 5 pm Sunday afternoon. Earlier on Sunday, around noon, the engine was briefly started two times to move the car. The engine did not run more than a minute or two both times. I did not notice an unusual noise during those short runs.
