>>I have probably about twelve microfiber towls...not the huge ones, just the approx 10"x12" size. Some are new, some older. All are pretty clean. However, given the "micro" part of microfiber, I'm not sure about the effects of wear on the older towels. I've heard you can keep them for years if they're well cared for, which mine have been. But the new ones feel softer. Any thoughts on when to get rid of used up microfiber? Thanks!
I rotate mine. I get a bunch and start using them. As they get more worn and dirty I reduce them in rank over time from windows and exterior cleaning for the best to wheels and engine grime clean up/exhaust and under body stuff/ bad brake dust stuff etc. I keep separate ones for the interior which tends to be less dirty and harsh.
If it looks really worn and dirty compared to the new and if it has been 6 months and you do cleaning weekly then it might be time to retire the worst. you can pen in dates on the edges or towel numbers and log them in. Wash them regularly and don't mix them with other fabrics. Air dry and have fun.
Your MINI will be very happy
