Congrats to the US for bringing the record back. Special thanks to all of those who put this massive event together, I know it must have been like going through heck and back with all the legalities and rules and paperwork that had to be taken care of. See you all next year .
I enjoyed meeting several of you all there- I was in car#16 of the 274 that attended. I think one lost teir keys of something so it might have been 273 that are official. I never did get the final number. It might not have been the dragon but the site of that many MINI/Mini's in one place was pretty awesome, and it was even better on the 5 mile cruise to make it official. I hear that the last row of cars had just left when the first row was coming back in so it was about 5 miles of MINI's! I guess I'll be buying a copy of the next Guiness World Records book when it hits the stores.
Congrats on getting the record you all! I wish I could of been there, but some things popped up at the last moment. I hope there's a giant mini meet soon.

I think the record run will become an annual event-that's the plan anyway. Each year the goal is to increase that record (obviously) but who knows this might become the MINI boonaroo or something!
It was so much fun! I enjoyed counting up! And they just kept rolling in! Our poochies (Guinness and Kodie) had a blast! So good to see so many people came out! Can't wait to see the record in the book! I guess now I will have to buy one!

Fixed the 12v outlet issue this morning...I didn't even realize there was a fuse box in the driver footwell. DOH!
I got some great video, but I should've put my oldest daughter on the side of the road with the camera...would've made a MUCH better video than just seeing the booty of the red Cabrio in front of me.

"Thank You" to all the attendees and those who tried to make it to Virginia Beach for the record. We had a such a great time! Next year will be even bigger and better
No, I believe that someone from DC Metro MINIs hit a plastic chair on the highway on the way down to Virginia Beach.
Ahh, I do remember that. Lost the front bumper, passenger side fog, temp sensor, and some other bits. Was not a good run for us DCMMers . But, our boo-boos will heal (I've already ordered the new parts I need to get all better, and I think the lawn chair guy is already at the body shop.)
I spoke with the guy that hit the chair on the grassy knoll where all the shooters were standing (taking pictures) . For a guy that just did some nasty damage he was in good spirits- even let me try out his flash on my camera. I still can't believe I'll be in the GWR book- this morning I was talking to co-workers and was like ,so what do you do this weekend ? blah, blah and then finally, "what did you do, Oh me, just set a new world record that's all

Your 200miles, atleast 4 hours, from home, would you let it ruin your trip? I surly wouldn't! Paying his deductable was probably nothing compared to being able to say 'I, along with 270+ other MINIacs! are WORLD RECORD holders.'

Guinness the big ole' Chocolate? He was definatly having a good idea meeting people!
Thanks again to all those who made the trek to VB. It was a blast. Randy and I are planning a sequel coming soon. August 12th is our Second Annual Police Officers Memorial Run. I would love this to be bigger. Thanks again to ALL.

Thanks Simon and Randy...you guys did it!! A truly amazing event even with the bloopers...
I can't wait to see the TV video footage as Paul and I missed it last night cuz we were pooped.
Thanks again for all your efforts!
It was a great time, Linda and I enjoyed it. My understanding is that next years date will be announced in the near future and everyone should make plans to attend. I did manage to get some video out the drivers window and I'm trying to get it edited now. Now lets see I've got to figure out how to get that computer hooked up to the internet and um... Lady at work asked me if I was part of it, and told me that she saw the video this morning on the news. Saw another MINI on Military Hwy still driving with their number sticker in the window today.
