I finally got a chance to wash my car--it's been >4 weeks.

There was a serious bug issue, so I sprayed the nose with Simple Green, let it sit, wiped it off, then rinsed. Then I claybar-ed. Then washed. And dried. And I noticed that it didn't really look like I HAD claybar-ed, so I felt the paint over the bug spots and it was perfectly smoothe. Nevertheless, I claybar-ed again, using more elbow grease this time. Washed again. Dried. STILL BUG SPLATTERS!!!

The paint, as I said, is wonderfully glassy... to feel. But it looks like it hasn't been washed in weeks. I used the gloss enhancer, then I Zaino'ed, then more gloss enhancer trying to get a little shine over the shadows but alas, it was all for not.

My questions are:

1. Could the bug guts have hazed the paint that quickly?

2. Is there anything I can do? I've done used up all my detailing knowledge...

Heeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllp!
