Scuff Marks

I picked my Mini up this past Monday. I noticed today while washing my car that there is what appears to be a 1/2" X 3" multi-lined scuff mark just above the center of the windshield.

It looks as though this maybe from protective taping taking off car at dealers when prepping.

Has anyone else had this problem? And what to do about it?

Thanks in advance

Odd that you mention it. I have a similar scuff above the passenger's windshield. I had no idea how it got there!!

It does not come off when I wash and wax the car. I have tried anything else in fear that I might scuff up the area even more.

I'm not sure what to recommend, but Scratch-X seems like a safe bet.

I'll second the Scratch-X. I used some on Sherry's Toyota Sienna and it worked wonders.

Nothing worked mark was still there. I went to my dealers today and they said it is perfect straight lines, almost like a large bar code.

They said iot was not caused by anything I could have come in contact with and that they will need my car for a week to sand down to bare metal (scratched thru clear coat), prime and paint.

They will probably do it next week and they will supply me with a loaner for the week.

I am happy to be dealing with such a reliable dealership.
