Since we use MCC and MCSC for convertibles, what will we use for the Clubman? I'm asking because I noticed in the Clubman forums an owner was using MCC to describe their Clubman. In this 'alphabet soup' of abbreviations, we don't need additional confusion.

Clubman

I thought a good one for Clubman would be MCB, so the one I ordered last week would be an MCBS CR/B

I was thinking of going to a more VW like naming for the Clubman, maybe refer to it as a Clubby (kinda like how Cabrio's are Cabbys).

I've made the suggestion to use "Cl" as an abbreviation in the States, since it's being marketed as a "Cooper", vice it's own line.

That makes my wife's a MCClSa HC/S

MINI Cooper Clubman S automatic, Hot Chocolate/Silver

It also separates the Clubman S from the S Cabrio by placing the Letters on opposite sides of the "S".

Just a thought until someone comes up with a better idea...

I am a new MINI owner and wanted to make sure that the color I was calling 'Pickle" was right. On the MINI website Sparkling Silver looks
more silver than my MINI. The non-MINI dealership I bought her from was calling her gold, but I think it looks more like Champagne.
Is there another SS owner with a pic to compare? Thanks

It's definately not Gold, as that color was only available Late 04/05/Early 06. Since it looks 'Champagne', then it's Sparkling Silver. Or a custom color. Easiest way to see is the Color Label Plate in the Engine Bay, usually arround the passenger side strut tower.

That's what I was thinking. I am self conscious about spelling something out in my signature. In Latin, it's called short-handus interruptus.

Hmm. That means I have a 04 EB/W MCS, however I'm so sure I've driven past other EB's which are in fact Coopers rather than Cooper S's?

Are there heads up of the 2009 colors yet? And when will we be able to see them on MINIUSA?

Also anyone have any idea about the "black chrome" color line I have been hearing about?

I'm a Texan. Thus, it ain't a boot, its a cargo area. A pair of boots is for wearing.

Yet, I'm definitely a new Mini Enthusiast.

It was clearly describing contrasting roof colors... I have edited the post as such.

Your MINI falls under the "body color" option.
